The groundbreaking musical ‘Rent’ is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a unique benefit performance at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, gathered by a host of Broadway stars. Among the performers is Jordan Fisher, who recalls discovering the musical as a middle school student during a cast party. Fisher reflected on the impact it had on him, stating, ‘That shifted things for me.’

Joining the celebration are original cast members such as Idina Menzel and Adam Pascal, alongside well-known Broadway figures including Neil Patrick Harris and Rachel Zegler. Livestream tickets are available for $30, with proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. ‘Rent’, a story influenced by Puccini’s ‘La Boheme’, addresses contemporary themes through its depiction of life in New York’s East Village, retaining its relevance and allure even after three decades.
