Macklemore’s Upcoming ‘Free Palestine’ Tour to Support Controversial Group Linked to Pro-Hamas Remarks

Macklemore is set to launch his ‘Free Palestine’ tour this month, which will financially support the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM). This group has been criticized for allegedly celebrating the October 7 terror attacks that resulted in significant casualties. Following his removal from Ed Sheeran’s ‘Loop Tour’ due to his strong advocacy for Palestinian rights and performances of anti-Israel music, Macklemore announced his new tour as a response.
The tour will feature performances in Dublin on October 26, Paris on October 29, and London on October 30, with proceeds designated for twelve organizations, including the PYM. The U.K. chapter of the PYM has been scrutinized for its comments related to Hamas and the terror attacks, which some have described as legitimizing violence against Jews. In light of these developments, several groups have urged for thorough vetting of the charities involved to ensure the safety of Jewish communities.
