Ossoff’s Campaign Makeup Expenses Reach $1,700, Reclassified as ‘Event Production’

Jon Ossoff, the Democratic senator from Georgia, has seen his spending on makeup services grow as he heads toward the midterms. His latest campaign financial disclosure shows a payment of $1,749 made in July to Hollywood makeup artist Stephanie Ponder, bringing his total payments to her since February to over $4,600.
Interestingly, the payment to Ponder is categorized as ‘event production’ rather than ‘makeup services,’ which raises questions about the transparency of his expenditures. The Ossoff campaign had previously reported a payment of $2,887 to Ponder for makeup services earlier this year. Comparatively, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reported a total of $2,338 on hair and makeup, indicating Ossoff’s spending far exceeds hers. Notably, the increased payments and reclassification of expenses have stirred speculation regarding Ossoff’s financial decisions as he contemplates a 2028 presidential bid.
