Tony Award nominee Susannah Flood recently joined Robert Bannon on The Roundtable to delve into her remarkable journey through Broadway, Off-Broadway, and television. After her celebrated, Tony-nominated role in Liberation, Flood is taking the stage in Pre-Existing Condition, a notable play penned by Marin Ireland and helmed by director Maria Dizzia.

This poignant production centers on a woman as she seeks to rebuild her life following an abusive relationship. Instead of merely highlighting the relationship itself, it intricately examines the aftermath, addressing the complex emotions involved in healing, the process of rediscovering identity, the dynamics of friendships, and the challenging journey of moving forward after significant upheaval.

Featuring a rotating cast that includes renowned actresses such as Lupita Nyong’o, Phillipa Soo, Hari Nef, Edie Falco, and Whitney White, the production presents varying interpretations of the lead character, referred to as “A.” Susannah Flood will portray this role from October 18 to November 7 at the Greenwich House Theater in New York City, further solidifying her place in this New York Times Critics’ Pick.
