As widespread student protests in France coalesce into a larger national upheaval, communist academic Vijay Prashad lauded this dissent, drawing connections between demonstrations in multiple countries. Through a post on X, he referenced the British punk band The Clash, emphasizing a unified cry for change across continents: “Paris-New Delhi-Buenos Aires.” Prashad, who is the executive director of Tricontinental Ltd., a nonprofit supported by Neville Roy Singham, underscored the global implications of the unrest in France, which has become emblematic of a broader insurgency termed ‘Chaos, Inc.’
A Fox News Digital inquiry has revealed 54 organizations behind the October protests in France, encompassing various factions from labor unions to radical leftist groups. Among these, 16 are youth-oriented groups, while the rest comprise adult-led entities. Notably, organizations like the Gilets jaunes, or ‘Yellow Vests,’ and the socialist party La France Insoumise have played significant roles in mobilizing discontent, framing the protests as part of a more extensive struggle against systemic issues such as capitalism and governmental austerity measures.
Additionally, an international coalition of 28 youth organizations is planning coordinated strikes across 12 European countries under the rallying banner “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars!” This group is organizing a series of protests, including demonstrations and sit-ins. Various entities within the Singham network, including Tricontinental and media outlets like BreakThrough News, have been pivotal in amplifying these movements.
