Mike Vrabel Critiques Patriots for Early Season Struggles

The New England Patriots experienced a challenging start to the season but have rallied, winning three consecutive games to improve to a 4-2 record.

Why Patriots HC Mike Vrabel Says His Team Has Been Embarrassing Early in Season

The New England Patriots experienced a challenging start to the season but have rallied, winning three consecutive games to improve to a 4-2 record. Nevertheless, head coach Mike Vrabel remains dissatisfied, particularly with the number of turnovers committed by his team. During an appearance on The Greg Hill Show, he described the rate of turnovers as historic and embarrassing, stating, “We turn the ball over at a historic rate, and it’s ridiculous.”

In their recent victory against the New York Jets, the Patriots lost two fumbles, one of which was from Pop Douglas, who expressed his disappointment after the game, saying, “I’m sick. I can’t lie. I’m sick. That gonna haunt me…I just gotta stop doing too much.” The Patriots rank second-worst in the NFL with 13 turnovers this season, only behind the winless Los Angeles Chargers. While the Patriots have forced 7 turnovers, their turnover differential sits at -6, positioning them 30th in the league. Improvement is noted, with fewer turnovers in the recent three-game stretch, but the team still faces significant challenges moving forward, especially with an upcoming match against the Chicago Bears.
